AAMCA is a group of black men 50 and older who participate in cultural events such as book discussions, movies, plays, musical performances, trips, and other activities. I started the group for a completely selfish reason: to meet and hang out with other mature African American men. We're not the easiest demographic to meet!

Events will take place primarily in Northern Virginia. Places that have good ticket bargains include the Arlington Cinema and Drafthouse in Arlington, University Mall Theatres in Fairfax, and some chain theaters which have discounts at certain times or days of the week. Meetups will mostly be for movies, but I'll scout out other budget fun.

We like to make things up with other people and be amused by it. It's that simple. The group meets once a month to play around with improvisational theater.
